Award Application Instructions
Eligibility: All active SWANA members are eligible to enter. Self-nomination is not permitted.
What to Submit: A completed nomination form attached to these instructions covering the following information:

Name and contact information for nominee.

Name and contact information for nominating SWANA Buckeye Chapter Member.

Type of award.
Narrative to be limited to the attached nomination form and should include the following information:

Overview – brief description of the applicant you are nominating and a summary of why they are being nominated for the award.

Contributions to Industry – a brief summary of the applicant’s career and contributions to the solid waste industry.

Leadership Qualities – outstanding leadership and vision evidenced by employing progressive management techniques in the area of solid waste management.

Innovation – employment of new and innovative ideas and technology in advancing the effectiveness of solid waste management.

Community Service – promotion of the field of solid waste management in the community served.

Other Qualities – as defined by the nominating person as it relates to the award being applied for.

Professional Growth – examples of how the applicant stays professionally prepared and up-to-date in solid waste management as well as a discussion of the applicant’s participation in professional organizations.

Supporting Materials – such as photographs with captions, news articles, and other items can be included in the nomination application.
